Bicycle Injuries

To follow up yesterday's post,  Reuters published an artice revealing the number injuries sustained by kids falling off bikes.  I commented yesterday on how in days of (my) youth, helmets were never worn and how the times have changed to make helmets fashionable apparel.  Read the full story here.

Thanks for posting this article. You and I are in the same boat having grown up in the "bad old days" before helemts were worn by kids riding bikes. My broken jaw after a bike fall in the second grade and my brother's skull fracture after a skateboard fall a couple of years later are testaments to our stupidity. My daughters, on the other hand, won't ride a bike without a helmet. In the words of Dr. Smith: "Wear a helmet! Wear a helmet! Wear a helmet." Keep up the good work.
